Reflective model > A trip to the beach

What happened? > We went to the beach in a car  and took s picnic (past tense)

Feeling and emotional response? > I was excited and feeling extremely hungry as I hadn’t had breakfast

Solve practical & technical problems (250 words) 5/5/17 Friday

Take a technical aspect and technical learning

Video technology – scanning of the frame 25 frames per second etc

Interlaced – explain in detail, what is is and what I understand by it.

Lower upper lines and scanning of the frame

Plot the course to the camera you are using.

Taking what you’ve learnt and applying it to camera use in FMP

What problems are there?

Audio > Anecdote (small factual story you have experienced) input one or input 2. the lead is called an XLR x left and right. Analogue no audio? switches for different channels and what you are suing? Bars on the side which will generate tone so i dismiss distortion when i set up camera

Video > Calibration, letting the camera know what white is, make every colour present red green blue are present. Exterior (Inside to outside) Haven’t done white balance? White is RGB combined. Over exposed. So therefore, there will be too much light and the colours will not be balanced. Tungsten, no tungsten (man made light) Own research (distinction)

I took part in a mock interview with Luke and Foxy and Luke was the Interviewer and Foxy was the camera man, I was asked questions about were I had previous worked e.g Next. I am reflecting on my interview mainly about how I can could improve on my interview techniques because I messed up during my mock interview because I couldn’t think of anything to say once I was asked a question, I felt like this was due to knowing the people who was interviewing me as I find it awkward as I know who was intervening me were as if it was some complete stranger interviewing me I wouldn’t of been nervous at all because i have had 3 interviews for jobs and I didn’t feel nervous at all and I was successful in all three of them.

For me, the most important and relevant issue was learning that I didn’t have the confidence to answer the questions I was asked. At the time I felt I would be completely fine when it came to interview I didn’t think at all that it could go wrong due to my previous job interviews I have had, I thought this would be just the same. Alternatively this is probably due to me being nervous about being interviewed by someone I knew. This is unlike me because I am normally a very confident person and I am normally able to speak on the spot and answer questions to the best of my ability, This demonstrates that I was unaware of how I would react and act towards being interviewed by people I knew.

Having experienced  the mock interview process with a interviewer I knew I now realize how I can reflect upon how the process went and how I can improve and develop my interview skills, most importantly I have learned more about myself and that I should try and practice the STAR method because if I can apply this to my answer to a question next time I am interviewed for a job etc. I am a lot more likely to be successful in getting the job or whatever I may be applying for.

I have significantly developed my knowledge of how to improve next time I have an interview and what I struggle with in a interview so I can remember where I went wrong and what went well however, I have not improved though as the mock interview didn’t go very well but I now have some knowledge of what I must do next time to improve.

This makes me feel more confident if this was to happen again as I now know what I must do to prepare for the interview and how I must answer my the questions when asked and this using the STAR method as it. is a great way to explain and promote yourself to the interviewer.

This knowledge will be important to me as a learner because I will now have the knowledge to know what I must do in my next interview. Because I did not do well in my mock interview I will now need to reflect on what went wrong which is such as not being able to come up with an answer for a question I was asked and and being more confident on the spot.

As a next step, I need to practice using the STAR method next time I have an interview if I get the chance I will also try and use this in my interviews for university. i will also need to learn how to think quickly on the spot and be more prepared next as I am now aware that I was too confident that I would be fine but it turns out I wasn’t at all prepared.
